The vehicle drops you in the parking, and you need to take the escalator to come to the entrance of the USS. Right up before entrance; you will see ticket counters with the famous Universal Studios Brand Globe. You can get the map to the whole studio and the timetable of various shows and activities that happens in USS on that particular day. Guides are available in English, Japanese, Mandarin languages.

Zones of Universal Studios Singapore

1. Hollywood

The entrance part of the USS is the Hollywood. It includes the buildings structures from the period of 1940, gorgeous architectures along with a lot of shopping cafes, restaurants.

Starting from Hollywood; you would keep walking straight and turn right and all of a sudden you will be on a New York street. The architecture is made in such way that you feel you are walking in the buzzing city of New York. It houses some of the wonderful attractions:

A. Lights Camera Action

One of my most favorite activity to do in USS. It is 15 minutes stand up live show which takes you through the shooting practical of Steven Spielberg movies. The first part shows you an AV of 5 minutes shot by Steven Spielberg; in which the director is providing information about his movie sets and shooting procedures.

Next 10 minutes you are inside another room; which takes you in front of a cyclone; YES!!! you read it right. It is not a movie; it is actually shown how those cyclone movies are shot.

B. Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase

This is yet another attraction on New York street. It is a sweet little ride; where you sit in 2 by 2 4 seater car and the car takes you on a journey of various Sesame Street toys designed and kept in various structures. It is a 10 minutes ride; you can opt for it if there's no long queue; otherwise, you can decide to skip if you are not willing to stand in the queue.

FOOD:- Louis NY Pizza Parlour is my favorite eating place when in USS. Pizza along with Tiramisu dessert is the best combination.

3. Sci-Fi City

This is one zone in the whole of USS; which you will find it to the most crowded and the rides will always have longer queues compared to other parts of the park. The Sci-Fi city is built on the theme of Transformers movie. As you enter this zone; you will 2 giant roller coasters standing along with a big statue of Bumblebee in front of your eyes.

C. Roller Coasters

This is the place where you will find biggest roller coasters in USS. Named as HUMAN (Red Track) and CYCLON (Blue Track) are the ones which will make you think before going for these rides. Both the rides start at the same time and go in different directions. The feeling you get on these rides is just out of this world.

A. Water World

It is a live show performance based on the Hollywood movie. The show is for half an hour, and you should ideally reach the place 30 minutes prior to the show timings. It is an open-air show, and if you are willing to drench yourself in hot and humid weather; remember to sit in first few rows. The show involves huge sets and some outstanding performances by the artists. Remember to check the timings once you enter the park.

E. Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure

This is one of the fun rides. But beware; there are a lot of chances that you might get wet. It is around water car that takes you along the artificial river and pours water over you in the middle of the ride. Carry a raincoat if you do not wish to get drenched.

FOOD:- Nothing tried in this zone.

5. Far Far Away

This is the zone of the fairy tale; where everyone is a child and you will see kids roaming around in beautiful fairy gowns bought from the souvenir shop. The castle set at the entrance attracts you and you cannot really stop being clicked in front of the castle.

FOOD:- Did not eat at the restaurant in this zone; but I like the shops which sell Churros. these are the pipe strips of dough fried and coated with sugar and cinnamon; tastes best with Ice cream.

Points to Remember

1. If you are traveling in peak season; like summer vacation or during Diwali or during Christmas / New year time, you will need one whole day to cover the whole of USS.

2. Of course, if you are in hurry and you are ready to spend money you can buy the express pass which allows you to cut the queue at some of the rides and save the time. As the number of visitors goes on increasing; the price of the express pass goes on increasing.

3. You are not allowed to carry eatables and any sorts of drinks other than water inside the park.

4. At some of the rides; especially roller coaster rides you are not allowed to carry anything along with you. You either have to leave your bags with your friends otherwise you can leave it in the electronic lockers. These lockers are free of cost for first 45 minutes and it will start charging you after 45 minutes. You will not be able to open the locker until and unless you do not pay the charges. So before you go on for the ride; my suggestion is to keep some paper currency in your pocket just in case.

5. Few rides in the park allow you for the single rider option; which lets you save a lot of time, the only disadvantage is that you will not be enjoying the ride with your friends or partner.

6. The activities underlined in above information are the must-try rides and shows.

7. Every zone has a restaurant and souvenir shops depending upon the zone's theme. You can pay by SGD or by card.

8. Use of Drones is not permitted inside Universal Studios Singapore. Selfie sticks are not allowed on the rides.

9. USS also conducts the Parade of the characters; the timing for the same can vary from time to time and season to season.
