Silja Line Cruise from Helsinki to Stockholm

The Best Mode Of Transport

· Europe

After visiting Helsinki, my next destination was Stockholm, although I was excited to be in Stockholm, I was happier for going there by a cruise and that too a Silja Line cruise - one of the most famous cruise liners in Scandinavia.

Although I was in Helsinki only for half-day, I was able to complete all important sightseeing in the city. After my lunch, I spent some time in the market square and then headed to the pier. I had to book luggage service in advance. Since I had an inside state cabinet booking on the cruise, I did not want to carry my cargo bag inside the cabin.

12th Deck - One of the happening decks and my most favorite decks. You will find Sunflower Oasis Sauna and Spa (at an additional charge), Sun Deck | Moonlight Promenade which is an open deck and the best way to spend your time on the cruise especially when it is departing, you get to see a very beautiful view of the Helsinki city.

13th Deck - The last deck of the cruise, I call this one a midnight deck, since the club and lounge on this deck open after midnight for all the night crawlers. It also has the activity of Karaoke from 09:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

Cruise departs from Helsinki at 05:00 PM and arrives in Stockholm at 09:30 as per Swedish time. Swedish time is one hour behind of Finnish time, so before you go to bed, you need to adjust your watch one hour behind.

You can select your dinner time as per availability if you are willing to have dinner at Grand Buffet, you can simply walk in for other restaurants and cafes on the cruise.

Lifts on cruise

Cruise has a total of 9 lifts and the room number indicates which lift you should take just to make sure that you reach your room without being lost. The first digit is the deck number, the second digit is the lift number you need to take. Room numbers are usually 4 or 5 digits depending on the number of decks you are staying at.

You have a vast option of selecting your cabin rooms as per your budget. You can check your options HERE. Bon Voyage to everyone out there and happy sailing!!!
